Xianggu can be divided into “winter mushroom”, “autumn mushroom” and “spring mushroom” in accordance to different season, in which “winter mushroom” is of the best. It can also be divided into “flower mushroom”, “thick mushroom” and “thin mushroom” in accordance to different grading, and out of all these, “flower mushroom” is of the best.

 

Origins of Chinese Dried Mushroom

Japan, Korea and China are the biggest producers of Chinese dried mushroom. Mushroom produced in Japan is of the best quality and the highest price, followed by Korea. The quality of mushroom produced in China varies. However, top-classed Chinese dried mushroom is comparable with ones produced in Japan.
